Welcome to our
Friday, November 18th newsletter!
Our mission here at Asbury is to share the hope of Christ with the people of Northern Kentucky and beyond. We hope this Friday newsletter can help inform you of all the ways you can join us in sharing that hope to the people of our community.

Friends, I'm so grateful for all of you and for the gift of being the church together. I hope you take time to read all that is going on in our church, and all the ways that you can step in to community life here at Asbury. As we look to Thanksgiving next week, I encourage you to focus on what you are grateful for this week, and give all of that gratitude to God, the giver of all good gifts. I am grateful this week for you--this church is a gift to me and my family. What are you thankful for today? Yours in Christ, Pastor Cambron

We need singers ---- anyone and everyone welcome!!
Asbury has been asked to sing Christmas Carols for the Highland Heights tree lighting on Nov 26, at 5:00pm at the City building. Please come out and join us. If you have questions, contact Doug Colyer.
|
On October 22, about a dozen members of Asbury helped move an elderly couple from their apartment in Victoria Square to their new apartment. There may be other residents who will need help moving in the next few months. This last time we only had a little over a week to get the project coordinated. It would be nice to have a list of willing volunteers on hand in case we get a call for more help. If you would be willing to have your name on this list for quick action when needed, please send your contact information (e-mail and phone number) to Linda Weber at lswbr@fuse.net. I will make an e-mail group and send out requests as I receive them. Thanks for being so generous.

Asbury Christmas Giving Outreach
|
It's time to shop! Asbury is taking part in a Christmas Giving Outreach in partnership with Crossroads Elementary. We'll be shopping for 15 children who each listed two gifts they NEED, and two gifts they WANT for a total of 60 gifts. Our Giving Tree is in the Gathering Area along with tags for the 60 gifts. Choose one or several to buy for and return your wrapped gifts to the table in the hall outside the Chapel by Sunday, December 11, prior to the 9 a.m. worship service. Questions? Contact Marsha Berry (859.576.4555) or Tracie Amato (859.409-6042).

Fellowship Time Information
|
Volunteers are urgently needed, especially for November 27th and during December. The sign-up calendar is located to the left of the serving window in the Fellowship Hall. This is a beautiful way to connect with our church family and friends. If you need directions on the “how to” of serving, please contact Janelle Clinkenbeard at 859-653-6720 (text or voicemail is fine).
Photos
It's time to clear out the file of photos that have been displayed on the Fellowship Committee bulletin board. Look for the photos on a table next to the coffee. You are free to take any photos! They will be available for the next 2 Sundays (November 20th and the 27th).

Craft Fair – THANK YOU ALL!
|
|
|
The Craft Fair Committee would like to thank everyone who helped make this year’s Craft Fair a success! As a preliminary total (to be finalized), the Craft Fair has made $14,000 which will be distributed to support various mission organizations, locally and internationally. We could not have done it without everyone’s support and hard work!
A special THANK YOU to everyone who donated a basket for the Craft Fair. We had a very successful year selling 64 baskets, and we are very grateful to our generous donors. --- Lisa Wagner & Donna Grey.

In an effort to keep our prayer list current, we will put a prayer request on this list for four weeks, after which time it will be removed. If you would like a prayer request placed on the list again after the four-week period, contact the church office at 859-441-1466 or asburyum@gmail.com and we will be glad to do so.
