Final Q&A session, February 1st
Wednesday menu: Fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, dessert, and a drink.
On Wednesday February 1st we will have a final time of question and answer as a congregation. We are going to meet at 6pm for dinner provided by the church, have a time of question and answer, spend some time in prayer, and we will close the meeting by taking an anonymous straw poll to determine our next steps as a church. We will not have any other activities this evening (Bible studies, choir, or small groups).
The poll will have two questions: First, “Are you a member of Asbury UMC?”. The second question will be “Do you think we should disaffiliate (separate) from the United Methodist Church?” There will be some space set up to fill out these questions in private and a large box to place it in. Though this isn't an official vote, the Administrative Council will base our next actions as a church on what you, the congregation, feel God calling us to, so it is very important that we receive your input. If you are not able to attend the meeting, please reach out to the office and we will make a way for you to give your input to the Administrative Council.
You’ve got mail….
PLEASE go to the Gathering area and collect your Christmas cards AND your 2022 Contribution Statements. Don’t forget to make your reservations for Wednesday dinner so we have plenty of fried chicken.
Thank you ….
Dear Asbury,
Thank you for your generous gift, acts of kindness and expressions of appreciation. I am humbled and blessed from our church family. It was a hard decision to give up mowing the church property. I have loved every minute of it!
Love, Glenn
